As we return from Spring Break, we are entering the final stretch of the school year. Consistent attendance, engagement, and effort are key to finishing strong.
Tutoring for the 4th nine weeks begins April 6th.
GMAS testing: April 22nd–28th.
Middle School “Rock the GMAS” celebration: April 17th, 2–5 PM (snacks and games provided).
A High School Trivia Night is being planned. Sign up on MyPaymentsPlus. This event will be held based on student interest.
📢 Important Updates!
GMAS Chromebook Check:
As we prepare for this year’s Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS), we want to share an important update regarding a new requirement. This year, all students must complete a technology readiness check in person prior to testing.
To meet this requirement, all students scheduled to take the GMAS must report to St. Mary’s during one of the following times:
Tuesday, April 7 from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday, April 10 from 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM
The readiness check will take approximately 20–30 minutes to complete. Once your student has successfully completed the process, they will be dismissed.
Graduation Meeting:
All LVA seniors and their parents/guardians must attend a Mandatory Senior Graduation Meeting. This meeting is required for any student who plans to participate in the Lighthouse Virtual Academy graduation ceremony.
Two meeting options are available, and both will be held via Zoom. Students and a parent/guardian must attend one of the following sessions:
April 16th at 6:30 PM
April 21st at 10:00 AM

GMAS Testing:
GMAS Testing will take place starting on Wednesday April 22nd and will conclude on Tuesday April 28th. For all testing dates and times, please click here.
Students must bring both their Chromebook and Chromebook charger to the testing session.

St. Mary’s Elementary School

Students should be dropped off at the GYM off Mccartha Dr.
All tests begin at 8:30 a.m. Please arrive by 8:00 a.m.
Please note: If a student arrives after testing has started, they will not be permitted to test that day and must sign up for a make-up session.

Rock the GMAS (Middle School GMAS Party)
April 17th, 2:00–5:00 p.m.
Location: St. Mary’s Elementary Gym
Students can attend this event to relax, socialize, and prepare for Milestones testing.
Food and games will be provided.
