What is the GMAS?

The Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) is Georgia’s statewide testing program that measures how well students have learned the knowledge and skills outlined in the Georgia Standards of Excellence. Students in grades 6–8 take assessments in English Language Arts and Mathematics, with additional tests in Science and Social Studies in 8th grade. High school students take End-of-Course (EOC) assessments in specific subjects.
